For Rishki, a wonderful zugunruhe

September 12th, 2007 by Trout · 1 Comment

When a change comes, some species feel the urge to migrate. They call it zugunruhe—the pull of the soul to a far-off place, following a scent in the wind, a star in the sky. The ancient message comes, calling the kindred to take flight and to gather together.

I hope you had a great trip… it’s just the beginning.

Oh what a trip–in between lost and found. Its like with change of venue I’m a different person some days. Or at least in my desire for intense change, transformation and hopefully finally a sense of peace with myself and my interactions in the world I’m floating like a spacewoman. I’ve been unwilling to report to starship earth/home because I’m still trying so many things on, random things sometimes, and its all a bit wierd, and seems flaky and ridiculous. Not to mention this experiment in migration is so damned expensive. But I keep on because I need to and I feel like I am at a pivotal point where that I will either fulfill my deep desires, or become bitter and resigned. I wish I had flying squirrel wings like that crazy youtube video.
